As soon as you leave or enter French national territory, you may be subject to checks by the Border Police. This involves verifying the authenticity of the travel document presented, as well as running checks on national, European and international databases.
Since April 7, 2017, all travellers have been subject to systematic checks when entering and leaving the Schengen Area via air, sea and land borders. France is part of the Schengen Area.
If you have to go through these checks, we kindly ask that you allow additional time for your journey.
To minimise the time this takes, have your boarding pass at hand and travel document open on the photo page.
Please note: once you have gone through the border checks, you will not have the option to go back. However, you will find a range of shops and services in this boarding area.
